DUCTILE IRON FITTINGS Our corporation has exported the fittings in Grey Cast Iron and Ductile Iron since
1985 and experienced more than 15 years. Due to its history in business in this line, we have established numbers of reliable resources of supplier. And the followings
are some information. I. Standards and Sizes Range of Fittings Available to Supply We have had the ability to supply the ductile iron varied fittings manufactured according
to BS4772(1988), BS EN 545: 1995 and ISO 2531, from dia 50mm--1200mm in three series of flanged, mechanical and push-on joint fittings. The annual product
capacity is about 6000 to 10000tons. II. Manufacturing Process and Quality Control It is essential to select the best raw materials for the casting of ductile iron
fitting and our quality control is of the highest standard. The raw materials are
melted in a furnace. It will be adjusted by adding alloy and other elements to the molten iron if the composition is found not to be in accordance with the standards. After the composition is adjusted, the molten iron is sent to the casting shop.
There, fittings are cast by sand mold. Then, the fittings undergo grinding and machining to ensure they meet the required
dimensions. At each important point in the manufacturing process, vigorous inspections are performed
to ensure thorough quality control. All the products are subjected to weight and dimension measurements and hydraulic pressure tests. Tensile tests, hardness tests and the checking of spheroidized graphite performed
by a random selection from each lot. Following the cement mortar lining inside and outside coated with protective material
as request, it will be packed in wooden crates ready for delivery.
