A wine cup in ancient China. Cinnabar-red, yellow and gold pigments are used in painting. The interior of mouth and the surface of handles are decorated with deformed phoenix design. At the bottom, the golden petals are painted. Surrounding the petals the silver powder is used to draw double phoenixes, which were the typical and popular pattern in the Chu state.
