CHEMICAL NAME : 3-Hydroxy-2-Methyl-4-Pyrone

MOLECULAR FORMULA : C6H6O3

Properties :
A white, crystalline powder having a characteristic caramel-butterscotch odor and suggestive of a fruity-strawberry aroma in dilute solution. One gram dissolves in about 80ml of water, in 21ml of ethanol, in 80ml of glycerin and in 28ml of propylene glycol.
