Properties: Chondroitin Sulfate is white, non-finalizing design powder, a little salty, with characteristic odor. It is easy to dissolve in water, while it is hard to dissolve in organic solvent such as alcohol, benzene, acetone and so on. The density of cumulus is 0.65-0.75g/ml. CS salt is very stable to heat. It can't be destroyed by heating to 80C. The dissociated CS aqueous solution is unstable in high temperatures.
Uses:
Chondroitin sulfate provide the structural components of joint cartilage and act as an antioxidant that inhibits free radical enzymes that degrade joint cartilage and collagen, and facilitate the entry of glucosamine into inflamed joints. Like glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate attracts water into the cartilage matrix and stimulates the production of cartilage. Likewise, it has the ability to prevent enzymes from dissolving cartilage. Recent studies have shown very good results from long-term treatment with chondroitin sulfate, reducing pain and increasing range of motion.
